Located at the end of the Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive, at 9,500 feet. The Scenic Drive is located within the main entrance of the park and on the right coming in to the park.

DESCRIPTION

Located at 9,886 feet above sea level, Wheeler Peak Campground offers a great experience camping at altitude - in fact, it's one of the highest-elevation developed campgrounds in the entire National Park System! Nestled in aspen groves in the shadow of Wheeler Peak, temperatures can be cold even during the summer. Potable water is not available.

Wheeler Peak Campground is currently open for first-come, first-served camping. Typically sites are reservable from early July until late September. Sites are reservable up to 30 days in advance.
