WEATHER INFO

During the season, (May 15 through October 15) high temperatures are typically cooler than the South Rim due to increased elevation (8000 feet/2440 m). Highs typically range in the 70's (21-26°C). Overnight lows can still drop to near, or below freezing occasionally, during the season. There may still be snow on the ground when the campground opens in mid-May. Likewise, it may snow before the last reservation day in mid-October. Because of this variability, visitors should come prepared for any weather.
