WAWEATHER INFO
Summers tend to be fair and warm, with high temperatures between 65 and 75 degrees F. July, August and September are the driest months, with heavier precipitation during the rest of the year. While winters are mild at lower elevation, snowfall can be heavy in the mountains. It is common for different weather conditions to exist within the park at the same time. At any time of year, visitors should come prepared for a variety of conditions.

DANGER
Hoh Rain Forest Closed
The Hoh Rain Forest area is closed due to localized flooding on the roadway. This alert will be updated as conditions change.
CAUTION
Hurricane Ridge Road Status 8:21 am. 12/12 - Road Open
Road will open at 9am. All vehicles must carry traction devices. The uphill gate closes at 4pm; all vehicles must be below the entrance station by 5pm. Lifts and children’s sledding area are closed. No potable water or food service are available.

South Shore Quinault Road Closed Outside of Park Boundary
South Shore Road – which is maintained by Jefferson County – is closed due to a major wash-out. For more information, visit the Jefferson County website.

Temporary Bridge on North Shore Quinault Rd Removed for Winter
A temporary bridge on the North Shore Quinault Road was removed for the winter on October 23, 2025. The bridge will be reinstalled next spring as conditions allow. The Graves Creek area cannot be accessed via South Shore Road due to a washout beyond the national park boundary.
