PARK CLOSURE
Campfire ban and fire restrictions in effect parkwide
Due to high fire danger and active wildfires across northeast Minnesota, Voyageurs National Park will implement increased fire restrictions. The restrictions will remain in effect until rescinded. Under this restriction, the ignition, building, maintaining, attending, or use of campfires is prohibited within the park. This includes charcoal grills, barbecues, and any fires fueled by wood or charcoal. These restrictions align with broader state and regional restrictions.
